Wiring for wiper motor and speedo and rear light awful dilemma :( help please?

Hey all,

I was sucessful in diagnosing the wiper motor as been the cause of the wipers not working and replaced mine with a newer model (see attached pictures)

Had a bit of a wiring bother with the box connector and a few attempts with fuses blowing and left the wiring as shown on the picture
The wipers do work but the fuse is blown (8amp) after about a minute, all other fuses of diffrent amps instantly blow and the haynes says that 8amp is the one, Could it be the new motor?


Also i replaced the speedo cluster and now the indicators and brake lights dont work but i wired it up the same and tested the terminals for continuity on the terminals

Sorry about the long rant but needed to be clear (still a novice)

I've answered my own question through trial and error and shall share...
Put the old Speedo back in and indicators and brake lights worked again
Took apart the wiper motor and greased it up inside, fuse still blows and all wires correct do the conclusion... The switch. A new one ordered and hopefully should work
