Oh what fun l have been having with the F.I. system on my bus. The replacement ECU from Ebay came today and it made not one bit of difference. The bus is however now running with the adjustable head temp sensor down a lot to it now telling the computer it is mildly cold. Something it hasn't done for a long time.
Anyway more electrical bits were attached and a lot of the circuits are running as they should. Part of the ignition system still baffles us a bit and the freakiest part of all is that if you disconnect injector 3 or 4 it still runs pretty well. Disconnect both 3 and 4 and it still runs ok. It's the same if you remove the HT leads. It seems 1 and 2 are doing all the work and it's number 2 that is low on compression. Do this to 1 and 2 and it runs like a bag of spanners.
So it looks like the valves are next on the to do list (l had someone do these for me previously) and then take a look inside the head with this endoscopy camera my mechanic owns to see what is going on in there prior to possible head removal.
And there was l thinking l would have it on the road for the aircooled day thing next Sunday. Wishful thinking.
