We all know that bikes, in particular BMX's have gone hand in hand with the VW scene for quite some time now, but I was wondering what people prefer?

Are you into the Old school 80's Bmxing or more modern style of the new school!

As for myself I love both styles but I still have a passion for the 80's Old school bikes! These are a couple of my rides, an 83 Skyway Ta & an 88 GT Pro Performer!

Lets see what you like & what you got!

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/72SeanyBoy72/0041-1.jpg

I love how by using that specific text with something it makes it 'from the future' :)

Old school for me but thats because I am being nostalgic I suppose. I kept one of my bikes a DP Firebird Freestyler and threw out the rest about 10 years ago (having carted them round with me for years by then) going to give it a light resto in the spring. Each scratch tells a story from my past so dont want to erase 'em.

I wonder why there is a link with BMX, skateboarding and VW's (and for me old school hip hop too, remember the electro series of records?) I was only trying to work this out with a mate who shares the same interests?

It worries me that on an earlier thread they are refered to as being a quarter of a century old, wont be long till I am in a nappy again then!

As for the link, I guess there just a few cool things that are left, with a decent history and a story to tell!:thumbs:

Hey all.

Well after wanting one since I was ten, I finally decided to build myself a 1983Kuwahara LaserLite. It'll be totally as it was from the factory. Only got the Frame, forks and Handlebars so far, all of which were a pain to find so I've load more parts to find and probably a whole heap more cash to part with.

Anyways, This is were i need some help. I seem to have aquired two frames though, One of which has been autographed. I dont recognise the autograph and it might not be anyone famous so before i take the plunge and either get the frame replated or sell it can anyone shed any light on the identity of the mystery scribbler!

Any help from BMX experts would be appreciated.
