Oil Bath Filter Help needed please!

Hi
Just picked up a used oil bath filter off ebay. conected all pipework etc but not sure how much oil to put in.
I remember reading ages ago about a red line but theres no red line in this one.
The cars a 1300 Bug.
Any advice would be great.....

looking inside there is a lip around the base of the centre filter area, filll to this with engine oil, hope this helps

Sometimes theres a little red line as well
