Here is the build up thread if anyone's interested, now I'm a Volksworld forum user I'll update on here from now on but probably easier to follow the link to see what I've done since owning it.

The wood work in the back is still work in progress, here are some pics of the cupboard units being made for me.
The carcass is lightweight MDF but all the visable bits will be light oak, here are some pics

Cheers mate, nice of you to say:D
Here are some pictures of the gauge pod I made;)
Started with a second hand air vent plate, stripped the paint and cut some holes
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/100_1859.jpg
Made some pods and angled them to suit
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/100_1858.jpg
Carefully welded them so you couldn't see the welds on the other side
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/gauges009.jpg
Did a bit of wiring, managed to thread them down the post so they are all hidded
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/gauges014.jpg
Got the pod painted by a mate, job done

I don't actually run a cylinder head temp gauge, I have oil pressure, oil temperature and a fuel gauge! (in that order) As you can see the oil wasn't even warm when this picture was taken!!

Happy New Year everyone!
Over the Christmas and New Year break my mate Daz dragged me out of the pub for a couple of days graft on the interior! (we did go back to the pub after the power tools had been locked up)
Stripped out!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/Picture001.jpg
I decided to remove the old heater tube, I drilled out the spot welds and cut the pipe nicely so it can be easily be put back in if I ever want too. Capped off the hole too.

The new flooring finished!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/Picture022.jpg
We had to get the flooring in as it affects the height of the made to measure cupboards Daz has been making
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/Picture018.jpg
One of the trail fits
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/Picture026.jpg
Check out the grain all lines up!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/Picture030.jpg
That's about as far as we got - the pub was calling!
Daz can carry on working on the cupboard unit without the bus now as all the tricky made to measure dimensions are done.
Really looking forwards to getting it finished off now. BIG THANKS TO DAZ FOR HIS TIME AND SKILL!

Cheers for the positive comments, I called in to see Daz after work last night and he was busy working on my interior again, only had my phone camera but hopefully these will show the quality of his work.
All the fronts are on!

Full oak drawer!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/38.jpg
All 'push to open' latches on the doors and drawer so no handles required
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/David72/The%20green%20house/35.jpg
Looks completely different colour here as the lighting was different, but I think it looks awesome!

nice work mate.where did you get your sound proof from?
Dirty Pucka
11-01-2009, 10:21 AM
Thanks guys, the dynamat sound proofing came off ebay, it was cheaper to get it from the states but with the £ the way it is it maybe cheaper to find a UK supplier?

Well with Volksworld show fast approaching I'm glad I said it wouldn't be ready in time....... as its not!
My friend Daz and I worked 10 hours on it yesterday and although very close, due to some incorrect parts supplied we couldn't quite finish off the interior, however I have got a few sneeky pics to give you a taster....
I don't think these pics give it justice but hope you like the look of it so far
