Im looking for a clock for my bay truck, my hole in the dash is blanked of.
ive seen a few on ebay but i have always been unlucky and got outbidded. Im guessing these are fairly rare but i wondered if any one has one for sale:confused:
I know of one.. Not mine unfortunately! I wouldn't sell it if it were
Very rare Bay window dash clock with additional gas heater timer - The clock has been run for about 2 hours on test and worked fine, I haven't been able to test the timer

It's amazing really, something so simple that all of our other cars and yet l need too need to find a clock. I'm not looking at finding an original clock so l will keep you posted if l find something suitable.

I've just had a Triumph 2.5 PI clock arrive that I won on ebay. Cheap too at £5 and quite a good match for the original VW clock. Made by Kienzle.
Only thing is l need to cut out a hole in the blank plate in the dash. I will let you know how l get on.

I've got an original vw bay window clock, was going to fit it in my single cab but never got around to it. Never seen it working but would be tempted to sell if the money's right.

The Triumph clock is some what smaller than l had hoped and l didn't get chance to fit it this weekend. I will try this coming weeken and post up pictures. The good thing about it being small is that l still get to keep the binicle bin as a bin for odds and so forth.
the one ive got is made by kienzle too, but it is definately an OE fit, looking at the back of it (its not on the van) its pressed into a kind of adapter which makes it fit the 2 bolt fixings on the plastic binnacle. looking from the front it seems to fit into the hole with a 6mm gap all round, you just see black paint on the adapter pressing. i'll get a pic up if i remember, but i reckon that ex-triumph one wouldnt be too hard to adapt, may even be able to drill the original blanking plate?

I got round to fitting the Triumph clock today and it all works fine. Only thing l had to do was cut a hole in the blanking plate which wasn't very hard. And I'm quite happy with the results. It lights up white and doesn't look out of place within the VW facia.
And l didn't know l had illuminated heater control panel. Can't wait to drive it in the dark now that all the lights work.

Sorry but l had to do it. I had to post up a picture of my illuminated heating controls. Who would have thought VW would have been so forward thinking with a van?

And the whole fascia panel.
