When I were doing a body off resto on a '66 beetle, some years ago, I co-erced a few mates to help me lift the body off. Thought things were going too well until the body lifted about a foot and dispite loads of swearing and huffing and puffing would not go any higher. Only left the front seat belts connected, what a plonker, took me ages to get over that one.

Bet nobody out there has ben so daft ------ or has there?

i've only split one once.

our technique was to undo the bolts and see that it lifts, wedge it up a bit, and then worry about the belty, wirey and pipey stuff left connecting the two:D:p

so we didn't so much forget anything, as couldn't be arsed to even try to remember:cool:

but i'd guess that you're a very, very long way from being on your own.....and i'd go far as to say that a tiny few people have managed to disconnect and un-attach everything before the lift
