Hello,

Thanks.
I use Sureterm Direct on the bug and did with my rods and yanks, I think there all pretty close, Adrian Flux are another good one.

I wouldn't touch Sureterm if they were the last firm standing. Wouldn't cover my bus because it's kept outside and they are some real....anyway.....l use Footman James for the VW's and Richard and Hoskins for the Peugeot's. Just as a by-the-by Sureterm were almost £200 more expensive when l tried to cover the Peugeot's with them 4 years ago and that was before l had points on my licence.

I pay £100 per year on the bug fully comp per year and its kept outside. But there you go were all going to have fors and against.

I used to be with Volksworld/herts, they were always ok, but premium shot up last year for no apparent reason.
Im with Adrian Flux now, seem to be ok but ive heard horror stories 'bout 'em since i took policy.
The one i've heard many good things about is Glynwoods, i'll be trying them when renewal comes up.

I've used Footman James for years and they seem pretty good. They're flexible on mileage choices and I've found their service ok.

I use RH Specialist £100 fully comp on the beetle and they quoted about the same for my bay. I have used Herts in the past but I also found that their premiums went up by quite a bit a few years ago and they couldn't match the bay quote this year.

I didn't actually say I went with them cause there cheap. I have always used them with my rods and quoted what I pay on the bug. As I said I think there all pretty close. I haven't had to claim on them and at the end of the day there all sharks out for themselves.

your right there m8, i was just curious if you had a claim with them, to see if they paid out all right, and was stating that cheep isn't all ways the best option, Adrian flux well the less said the better, don't use them is all i can say and I'm sure a lot of people will agree:mad:

I think everyone can tell a story from all companies. Fortunately only had one prang in my daily with Hastings Direct they paid and sorted everything including a top notch barrister. Unfortunatly the prang was on my birthday. But I have heard other people slate Hastings Direct, its all a bit of a lottery. Couldn't agree more cheap isn't always best but better a devil you know( well until I claim, hopefully not)

What sort of mileage do you have the Bug on? I pay around £200 for the 504 on a 5000 mile policy and £95 for the 104 on a 3000. I was going to put the 504 to a 3000 but they said it would save me just £9 a year.
Sadly they were not competitive on the Bus. With Footman James they said because of its age and and that it's a motorhome there isn't a limited mileage policy they can do for it. Anyone else heard of that?? I don't think the quote l got was the best but l needed street cover ASAP as l needed insurance to register it.

I think the bug is on a 3000 mile policy but could be 5000 I'll dig the paperwork out and check

All mine are unlimited mileage and agreed value hich is standard on classic policies, just sk about unlimited on the whole makes no difference.
Mine also have Uk and euro breakdown cover which is fa superior to either AA or RAC

You might be onto something there. Come to think of it I've never had to confirm my mileage when l renew it the year after.

Just checked my paperwork and can find no detail of restricted mileage so I think it is unlimited also get breakdown and business cover included. :D
